The Kingdom of God Comes First!
What is truly a priority in our lives? The call of Christ, to which we responded through our baptism, does not simply ask us to add the pursuit of the Kingdom of Heaven to our list of priorities. It asks that this pursuit become the priority from which all other things are evaluated. This does not mean irresponsibly abandoning our duties. It simply means that we must no longer allow our occupations, even legitimate ones, to take the place of God.
